FRCC Closing

The Family Resource & Counseling Center started from one man who had a desire to help and serve people in his community. Today, FRCC has accomplished much in providing help to people in need of hope and healing in many areas where counseling makes a difference. From its inception, the center has served individuals and families in many capacities while bringing people to a place of mental accomplishment and freedom. The mission and vision was served very well through the work of Counselors and administrative staff, from the very humble office in the early stages, through the expanded offices located in Gap and Lancaster, PA.
Through the years FRCC has strived to create awareness, and sustainability as a non-profit agency that not only serves neighboring communities, but is also supported by people, churches and businesses in these communities. Economic challenges were taken seriously and there were some keysupporting components that helped FRCC flourish through the years, but FRCC was never self-sustaining without the ongoing foundry support from founding members. Today we recognize and give thanks for all the support and financial contributions that helped us serve a community well.
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closing of Family Resource & Counseling Centers. On Monday, October 17, 2016 the Board of Directors met with Counselors and staff, acknowledging our current financial position and the need to position the organization to cease operations and counseling
services. It was not an easy decision, and one that was evaluated long and hard as other changes were implemented to create the hope of a bridge to sustainability. Finances and time were not in our favor to preserve the services through the organization.
November 4, 2016 will be our final day of operations as a community service provider. FRCC will be closing the doors and we will no longer be providing counseling. The organization will be taking immediate steps to dissolve the entity and file closing processes. We want to thank you for the
opportunity we shared to work with or serve you in whatever capacity you were affiliated with our organization. Our Counselors will be communicating w ith their clients, and helping them to transition into continued services. Our decision does not come easily, but is necessary. Thank you again for the
years of support and service. We pray God’s blessing over everyone that this reality is impacting.

Since 1992, we have stood by families and individuals to nurture hope and facilitate healing.

Our Mission

FRCC offered professional counseling services which were grounded in Christian principles and faith.  FRCC’s love, support and care through counseling was extremely important in strengthening you and your relationships.  By promoting hope, healing, and release from bondage, our trained professional caring Counselors and staff welcomed and served all who sought our services.  Due to the variety of Counselors we had on staff, we were able to work with all age groups from young children through older adults, offering various types and focuses to our counseling.

“When it came out that our child had been sexually abused we were mortified. I felt as if all hope was lost and there were not words to describe our anguish. We were all alone, but then we brought our child for counseling at Family Resource & Counseling Centers and they helped us to start to put the pieces back together. We have our hope back.”
